This book jacket is designed at an analogue collage workshop in Bilkent University Graphic Design Department.
The final works are exhibited in Bilkent University FADA gallery and Bilkent University library.
In the making of my collage designs, I've used old newspapers, magazines, and photographs gathered from an antique shop.
I tried to focus on Sait Faik's writing style and the repeating themes we see in his stories, specifically in his book "Semaver."
The stories that inspired me the most were "Semaver" and "Stelyanos Hrisopulos Gemisi."
My strategy was designing different covers for each story within the book 'Semaver.' However, as the project progressed,
I found myself merging various elements from these experiments into the final book jacket design. While I didn't end up with individual covers for each story, the process of experimentation helped me shaping the ultimate outcome.
